Another fantastic collection of old adventure stories. It's just as well selected as the first, and a bit longer so you get more. Some outdated attitudes here and there but on the whole full of excellent action-adventure tales. Genres are varied, and the characters, while not above using their firsts or guns, just as often us cleverness or guile to achieve their aims. Hoping a third volume of these tales gets made some day.Product details

ADVENTURE has the reputation of being perhaps the best pulp magazine ever published, especially during 1918-1927 when Arthur Sullivant Hoffman was editor. This collection of the earlier years is proof that the magazine was publishing first class adventure fiction even as early as 1914. I have a question for Doug Ellis where is volume 3? It has now been over two years since volume 2 and we must have another collection from this great magazine.
